I honestly hate that I even have to write this review because I was hoping Oxnard Mazda would become my dealership for future service. I recently moved to Oxnard, I owned a 2024 Mazda, and I wanted a place I could trust with my vehicle. Unfortunately, my first experience with the service department was enough to make me take my business elsewhere. I am leaving two stars only because Michael from the parts department was genuinely helpful and professional. If I was rating the service department and dealership experience as a whole, this would be a one star review. I brought my Mazda3 in because of an issue with the exterior door handle mechanism. I understand I am around 60,000 miles and outside of the bumper to bumper warranty. I was not expecting a free repair. I simply wanted some guidance identifying the issue because I had already removed the part myself and only needed help confirming what was wrong and what part I needed. Instead, John from the service department immediately wanted to charge me a $249 diagnostic fee. I understand dealerships have diagnostic fees, but what disappointed me was the complete lack of willingness to help or provide any guidance. The interaction felt dismissive from the beginning, both over the phone and in person. For a relatively new Mazda to already have an exterior door handle issue, I expected at least some understanding, especially because I was hoping to become a repeat customer. Unfortunately, I left feeling like my business was not valued. Michael in the parts department was the complete opposite. He was helpful, professional, and got me the part I needed quickly. The part was around $100, and I installed it myself in less than 10 minutes. That experience showed me that the issue was not the vehicle, but the way the service department handled the situation. I also reached out to the service and parts manager, Oscar Albana, hoping to resolve my concerns, but I never received a response. My message was eventually passed along to Mazda customer service representative Jason Lopez, who offered me a free vehicle detail. I appreciate the gesture, but I own a detailing business and maintain my own vehicles. The offer did not address the actual concern, which was the service experience itself. I was also disappointed to see vehicles being washed in the service area with brushes that, from my experience in automotive detailing, are not appropriate for maintaining a vehicle’s finish. Seeing customer vehicles and even new vehicles being cleaned this way was concerning. It is also disappointing to see whoever manages their Google Business profile respond to customer reviews with what appears to be generic AI generated responses that do not actually address the concerns customers are bringing up. A response means nothing if the root issues are not being acknowledged or fixed. In the short time I have been watching this dealership, their rating has dropped from around 4.8 stars to 4.6 stars, which shows there are clearly areas that need improvement. Unfortunately, this experience pushed me to trade in my Mazda and move on. The vehicle itself was great, but the service experience was not. I hope management takes customer feedback seriously and focuses more on improving the customer experience than simply responding after the fact.

I bought my used Subaru from here and the service from other people was iffy but Andros helped me a lot he really listened to what I was looking for and didn’t try to put me into something I didn’t want or something brand new , he didn’t make buying a first car scary so if you do happen to go to Oxnard Mazda I would recommend the sales men Andros whether you’re buying a brand new car or a used he is the best.

I recently had both our 2022 AND 2013 CX-5's in for service at Oxnard Mazda and HIGHLY recommend them. Chase is the best, actually everyone there is top notch.

Great experience with the service department. They were prompt, completed everything that was needed, and kept us updated on upcoming maintenance without being pushy. We noticed a noise coming from the glove box area where the cabin air filter is located, and they had us bring it back the next day. They quickly found the issue, cleaned out the area, and fixed the noise. Everyone was professional, helpful, and made the whole process easy. I would definitely recommend their service department.

I went to Mazda of Oxnard about 2 weeks ago, and honestly I can say that they definitely go above and beyond to be kind and helpful. Not once did I feel pressured into buying a car. Josh in particular was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and sweet. I 100% recommend going to them for a new car. I am in love with the car that I purchased there. Will definitely be going there again for my future purchase.

Genuinely, if I could do business with Oxnard Mazda for my lifetime of car purchases, I would. They were very honest, and also willing to meet my needs and wants with a vehicle and pricing. As someone who has never purchased or leased a vehicle, they made the process easy and transparent, and in this economy, it is very hard to feel like you can trust a dealership with your time and money. We personally worked with Reuben, George, Freddy, and Andros - all of whom were professional, honest, and understanding. A special thank you to Andros for giving me honest advice and helping me navigate through my anxieties during the signing process - I really appreciate the time you took and your willingness to provide honest feedback when I needed it most. Chase, the in-person point of contact for service appointments, went above and beyond with the customer service aspect of my visit. I came in not sure which service I would prioritize and he explained both in detail so I could make the best decision. He reviewed all of the service recommendations, then accommodated a same day important addition to my service in the way and timing that best worked for me, which was the real MVP move of the day. The service team did a great job with my vehicle as well. I always appreciate their video of inspection. My only suggestion would be for them to get back a prepaid plan for oil change services.

I was happy with our salesman Brendon and George. Not happy with BUY AS IS. After everything I notice the lift gate on Tesla was crooked was told come back on Monday to be told nothing they can do because it was a buy AS IS.

I do not recommend Dealer mechanic, I took my brand new Car to the Shop, and had only 2800 miles the oil change was due until 5000 miles. I drove From SB to Oxnard to check out the complementary work and I end up paying 300 , something about the battery and Filters were already Dirty and I was not driving my car on dirt… they were giving me a lot of suggestions and it mostly felt like a pressure to me because i do not have any car experience, plus I said it is a new Car! Why would i do stuff if it doesn’t need it yet! I did not care to put a review but since i kept getting this notifications about how they did. I do not plan to come back. If you have a good mechanic to go to I recommend you to go somewhere else not dealers shop mechanics

Awesome and easy experience, Reuban was very helpful and the car buying process was stressless!

Fantastic experience, Danny was the perfect sales rep. Helped with all my queries, deal was exactly as discussed, no hidden charges or fees. After a month of being messed around by different dealerships I only wish I had found this dealership earlier.

After dealing with 3 other Mazda dealerships who didn't treat us very well, I contacted Oxnard Mazda because they had a CX-90 in tge trim and color I wanted. I called up on Sunday March 22nd and the spoke to Oscar and then Amare. From that phone call up to the time we left the dealership with my new car, we were treated with the utmost respect and kindness. Even though we don't live close I will always go back to Oxnard Mazda. 10 out of 10

I had such a great experience at Mazda! Rueben was incredibly nice and communicative, and I felt the negotiation was fair. The car itself is beautiful so much better than my 2023 old Toyota RAV4. I’m thrilled we were able to work out a deal, and I’m so happy to have given them my business. Bonus points for the convenience since Rueben and my husband even met me at my hair appointment to go over car options. Highly recommend!

Excellent customer service

So I originally went in for a test drive and didn’t intend on buying one that day. But the salesman, Oscar, was very understanding and quite convincing. He helped answer any questions we had and made sure we understood what was going on. The process was decently smooth and I would say they did great at making sure I was a satisfied customer. And satisfied I am, I am really glad to have bought my car from here.

Great buying experience with Tim Moore. Would rate him a 12 on a 1-10 scale. He was patient, listened well, gave me a very fair deal. Highly recommend him. Also love the showroom setup and coffee choice too.

Had a great experience, in and out. Not a lot of waiting around. We’re very accommodating to my needs and wants. Always willing to negotiate. I liked how they were constantly asking if I wanted food or water, this made me feel welcomed. Overall 4/5 experience. Nothing to complain.

Marcus did his best to get us the deal that he did on two cars. His general manager was also very helpful and courteous.

Service department was very good and I was satisfied with the work done. They advised for a litany of additional services. I found the prices for these services very expensive and there were no specials to help lower the cost.

Love my Mazda. First time owning a Mazda. They are awesome. The service is better than any other service I have had with other dealers.

Sales and finance staff were professional. Four stars is arbitrary akin to a participation trophy. The trophy is included in the signup fee. I would not have made the purchase for a 2 stars service. 3 star was for the vehicle price. The 4th star was for the staff that put up with my BS making the experience tolerable. 5 stars requires a stress free, exceptionally welcoming dealership with hospitality and trained customer service personnel,

I am so happy and excited about my new vehicle ! Luis made the entire experience such a positive one. He made me feel welcomed from the start, answered all of my questions (I had PLENTY) so patiently and was also endlessly kind and patient with my parents who I brought along with me. He was very knowledgeable about the car itself and Mazda’s performance history. He set up the Mazda app on my phone and showed me how to use it and all of the features the car has to offer.
